APOLLO HOSPITALS PLANS TO RAISE UP TO RS 1,000 CRORE

In a bid to expand its hospital network and specialty clinics across the country, Apollo Hospitals Group is planning to raise up to Rs 1,000 crore through a rights issue and private equity investment. The group is planning to complete fund-raising in the next few months.

The group runs 55 hospitals under a listed entity and has a network of clinics, which are managed through a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Apollo Hospitals is the leading private sector healthcare provider in Asia and owns and manages a network of specialty hospitals and clinics, a chain of Pharmacy retail outlets across the country, and provides Consultancy Services for commissioning and managing the Specialty Hospitals.
