Ajanta Pharma today reported 20.43 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 99.96 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015-16 on robust sales.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 83 crore for the July-September period of the previous fiscal, Ajanta Pharma said in a filing to the BSE.
Consolidated total income from operations also rose to Rs 437.67 crore for the quarter under consideration against Rs 371.87 crore for the same period of 2014-15.
Ajanta Pharma Managing Director Yogesh M Agrawal said: “Despite challenges posed by currency devaluation’s in most markets, we have delivered sound performance in these geographies.”
