Tata Global Beverages Ltd today reported a 15.34 per cent decline in consolidated profit at Rs. 82.31 crore for the quarter ended June 30.
The company had reported a profit of Rs. 97.23 crore for the same quarter of the previous fiscal.
During the quarter under review, the company’s net sales rose to Rs. 2,003.99 crore, up 6.37 per cent from Rs. 1,883.95 crore in corresponding period a year-ago, TGBL said in a BSE filing.
Its overall expenses stood at Rs. 1,875.78 crore, up 7.53 per cent as against overall expenses of Rs. 1,744.36 crore in the year—ago period.
TGBL’s revenue from tea in the quarter increased by 5.08 per cent to Rs. 1,524.87 crore while revenue from coffee went up by 9.57 per cent to Rs. 468.76 crore.
The company’s revenue from ‘others’ segment rose by 11.29 per cent to Rs. 35.36 crore.
