Cairn India and ONGC’s jointly operated onshore oilfield in Rajasthan, Mangala, has crossed 300 million barrels crude production. The oilfield, which completed six years of operations this month, has helped reduce the gross cumulative import bill by $25 billion since it went on stream, a company release said.
It has also made a Rs.60,000-crore gross cumulative contribution to the national exchequer, it added. The Cairn India operated Rajasthan block is currently producing around 172,224 boepd, accounting for more than 27 per cent of the country’s domestic crude production.
