Somany Ceramics Limited on Monday reported a 32.20 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 14.78 crore for the fourth quarter of financial year 2014-15 compared with Rs 11.18 crore in the same period the previous fiscal.
Total net income from operations for the quarter stood at Rs 459.11 crore, an increase of 12.08 per cent compared with Rs 409.62 crore in the corresponding quarter for 2013-14.
For the full financial year 2014-15, the company recorded a net profit of Rs 44.38 crore, an increase of 58.33 per cent compared with Rs 28.03 crore for financial year 2013-14.
The total net income from operations rose 22.33 per cent at Rs 1,541.05 crore for financial year 2014-15 compared with Rs 1,259.67 crore for the previous fiscal year.
Abhishek Somany, Joint Managing Director, Somany Ceramics Ltd, said, “We continue to invest our energies in product innovation and increasing capacities across segments with increased focus on high margin segments. As availability, consistent supply and reasonable rates are extremely important for the growth of a ceramics product provider, the increase in consumer confidence has made us reinforce investments in capacity additions to meet the heightened demand.”
