The wind energy developer Mytrah Energy Limited has awarded an equipment sale contract to Suzlon Group for a 98-Mw windmill project it was planning to set up at Nazeerabad in Rangareddy district in Telangana state.
The value of the contract is about Rs 700 crore, according to a spokesperson of Suzlon.
The project is the third repeat order awarded by Mytrah to Suzlon Energy wherein Suzlon has already commissioned 310 Mw wind energy project for the company so far and 205 Mw is under execution in Rajasthan, Maharashtra & Andhra Pradesh, according to a statement issued by the wind turbine maker.
The order was part of a business partnership agreement signed with the Mytrah in May 2010 for purchase of 1 giga watt turbines from the Suzlon, it said.

Mytrah Energy chairman and CEO Ravi Kailas stated that the Nazeerabad project was one of 300 Mw capacity under execution by the company and will take their capacity past 840 Mw in 2016.
